One prerequisite for reproducible and reliable DSC results is to have good thermal contact between the sample and pan bottom, which postulates a flat sample area. With the new SampleCutter, it is easy to cut plane sample faces, irrespective of whether the polymer sample is soft, hard or brittle. The SampleCutter creates perfect samples for elastomers, highly filled compounds or even fiber-reinforced composites, either made of granules or from small molded parts.
